The replica Phoenician Ship was constructed in Syria and used on 2 expeditions since 2008.
Its design was based on two shipwrecks which can be visited at the Museé de Marseille, in the South of France.
Phoenicia is the only replica ship based on the probably oldest known ocean-crossing vessel, and with 30 thousand nautical miles navigated, it is for sure the ancient replica ship that sailed the longest.
